Mumford and Sons-Hopeless Wanderer

I have been quite skeptical of folkies Mumford and Sons. After loving their debut album Sigh No More and completely changing the face of folk, I couldn't get enough of them. Then Sigh No More 2.0 came out, which is also known as Babel and I was unimpressed in the lack of originality of the album with only a few songs standing out. One of these is their new single Hopeless Wanderer. The tempo is like a rollercoaster and although near the end it has its classic Mumford banjo solo, there's something nice about this track that reminds you of that debut album. If you love the song, you will wet yourself watching the video which stars the likes of Ed Helms and Jason Sudeikis as the band members in comical roles. But anyway back to the song, Mumford may have struggled critically with the new album, but there's one thing that is certain - they know what are their best songs - and they are the singles that they release.

Rating: 7/10
