Piano-playing R&B sweetheart
Alicia Keys has been very busy since her last album
The Element of Freedom. She has matured greatly, cut her locks of curly hair to a shorter do and had a child, yet after what seems like becoming quite sedated in the past three years, she has brought her music to life with her new flaming single
Girl On Fire. The pun was not intentional. Her voice has not suffered and neither has her music. Great to see genuine talent in the charts even if it is pop music, and I would expect a few more albums from the singer-songwriter.
Rating: 7/10
