Pop-punk group turned indie-rock band The Vaccines were just sprouting up two years ago, and now, they have already released their second album The Vaccines: Come of Age which recently reached number 1 in the album chart. Now, the London rockers have released their third single from this album which is called I Always Knew. Previous singles No Hope and Teenage Icon were both full of crashing sounds and high tempo, yet this is more sedated and muffled. Lyrically, the chorus is straight-forward and unimaginative, but everywhere else the lyrics are lovely. The riffs are sweet and they have established the rock sound that critics doubted was there. And on that note, tomorrow I'll see them live and a live report will be finished by Wednesday.
Rating: 8/10
