Lana Del Rey-Ride

Queen of sadpop Lana Del Rey has recently released her extended album with eight extra songs on it such as H&M advert tune Blue Velvet and more importantly, her new exciting single Ride. This song has quite a lot of qualities in it that her other tracks lack. She obviously has the slightly-downhearted natural voice as she wallows through the track, but then things pick up. A drum beat starts and a big chorus swallows all the depression that may have been present beforehand. A surprisingly catchy chorus is there and a voice that is put to the test in the bridge, with Del Rey hitting some high notes. If you love her or hate her, you have to admit her music has it's own beauty, which has left me speechless. Great work again from the New York singer.

Rating: 9/10
