The Californian duo
Deap Vally are making some incredible music which makes me all the more excited for their debut album. Their new single
Lies is full of grungy hooks and some awesome guitar riffs from vocalist/guitarist
Lindsey Troy which is backed up well by the more than capable drumming of
Julie Edwards. Crooning guitars and the unique, red hot voice of Troy is enough to make this a real rock record.
It is definitely a song to play at big venues, which they surely be playing in five years time.
Rating: 9/10
