The X Factor may have
just finished last week (leaving all lonely bored people nothing to watch on a Saturday night), but like every Christmas, the winner releases a cover of an average song which is done adequately, or they release a cover of an amazing song which is covered tragically (see
Matt Cardle). However, unlike Cardle, 2012 winner
James Arthur has managed to stay cool even with the winner's song. His rendition of
Shontelle's R&B single
Impossible is pretty average, but it isn't as bad as previous songs. I pray that he can become more independent, as he does have potential to be a great solo artist.
