Dan Le Sac feat. Merz-Long Night of Life

Electronic/Hip-Hop artist dan le sac has taken a break from his duo with Scroobius Pip to work on a solo album, which includes his new single Long Night of Life which features multi-instrumentalist Merz. Hate me if you may, but I cannot get my head around this. There's nothing about this song that excites me in any way, it's a bit like a rip off of The xx, with the song only coming to life in the second half. It ends on a high and sounds almost flawless, but the first half of the song is full of droning and sheer boring beats, with no real hooks. dan le sac should have probably stuck to what he's good at.
