Villagers-The Waves

Irish indie band Villagers have been relatively quiet since they become known with their debut album Becoming a Jackal. However, their new single The Waves has received rave reviews with a lot of publicity from the likes of NME. It has such a cool and delicate electro beat, with vocalist Conor O'Brien's clear voice, pronouncing every word with great care and accuracy. A ripping bassline comes in near the end and a repeated line finishes the song, making a decent track from the band, and earning some added recognition to their already improving popularity.

Best lyrics: Sister jewelry, brother judging, you are recognized this grudge/Buried deep beneath the sands of these ridiculous demands

Rating: 7/10
