The Enemy-This Is Real

They may never return to the We'll Live and Die In These Towns days, but The Enemy's new song is starting to show a turn in fortune for the Coventry band with their single This Is Real. Vocalist Tom Clarke has more of a Johnny Rotten voice near the end of the song, and this song shows a great turnaround for the indie band. The thrashing drums and big strums of guitars make the song end on a triumphant note. Sounds great, but isn't very different. Although, it is still good to see them going back to good music.

Best lyrics: Our backs against the wall/You and me against it all/I'll always lie awake/Until my backbone breaks

Rating: 7/10
